At Roambyt, we are committed to providing a secure, seamless, and transparent payment experience. This policy outlines the accepted payment methods, security measures, and billing terms for your digital purchases.

1. Accepted Payment Methods

We support a wide range of secure payment options to ensure a smooth checkout process for global customers:

  • Credit & Debit Cards: We accept major international card providers including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and UnionPay.

  • Digital Wallets (Express Checkout): For a faster mobile experience, you can pay using Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Shop Pay.

  • PayPal: Securely pay using your PayPal balance or linked bank accounts/cards.

2. Payment Security

Your financial security is our top priority. Roambyt employs enterprise-grade security measures to protect your data:

  • SSL Encryption: All transactions are processed over a secure connection using rigorous SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption technology.

  • PCI Compliance: Our payment processing partners are Level 1 PCI-DSS compliant, adhering to the highest standards of payment security.

  • Tokenization (No Data Storage): Roambyt does not store your full credit card number or CVV code. Your payment data is tokenized and processed directly by our secure payment gateways. We only retain the last 4 digits for order verification purposes.

3. Payment Timing & Billing

  • Immediate Charge: As Roambyt provides digital goods (eSIMs) with instant delivery, your payment method will be charged immediately upon clicking the "Pay Now" or "Complete Order" button.

  • Order Generation: The eSIM QR code and activation details are strictly released only after the payment is successfully captured and verified.

4. Currency and Fees

  • Transaction Currency: Unless legally required otherwise in specific regions, most prices on the Roambyt website are settled in USD (US Dollars).

  • Exchange Rates: If your card or account is funded in a currency other than USD, your bank will apply their own exchange rate at the time of purchase.

  • Foreign Transaction Fees: Since Roambyt (METASSET PTE. LTD.) is a Singapore-based entity, some international banks may charge a small "Foreign Transaction Fee" or "Cross-Border Fee" even if the transaction is processed in your local currency. Roambyt is not responsible for these third-party bank fees.

5. Payment Failures & Troubleshooting

If your payment is declined, please check the following common issues:

  1. 3D Secure Verification (OTP): Most banks now require a One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your phone to authorize online purchases. Please ensure you have your phone nearby to complete this step.

  2. International Restrictions: Ensure your card is enabled for international online transactions (Singapore/Global).

  3. Information Accuracy: Verify that the billing address matches the address on file with your card issuer (AVS check).

  4. Insufficient Funds: Ensure you have enough credit limit or balance.

Recommendation: If the issue persists, trying a Digital Wallet (Apple Pay/Google Pay) or PayPal often resolves bank restriction issues.

6. Fraud Protection & Chargeback Policy

  • Verification: To prevent credit card fraud, our risk management system may flag suspicious orders for manual review. We reserve the right to cancel and refund orders that cannot be verified.

  • Disputes & Chargebacks: If you do not recognize a charge from "Roambyt" or "METASSET", please contact our support team first at support@roambyt.com. We can usually resolve issues (such as unreceived emails) within 24 hours.

  • Consequences of Fraud: Filing an unjustified dispute or "Chargeback" (claiming fraud on a legitimate purchase) will result in the permanent suspension of your Roambyt account and the immediate deactivation of the eSIM.

7. Invoices for Business Travelers

Need a receipt for expense reimbursement?

  • Automatic Receipt: A summary receipt is emailed immediately after purchase.

  • Official Invoice: You can download a formal invoice containing our corporate details directly from the "My Orders" section in your account or via the Roambyt App.

8. Taxes

  • General: Product prices typically exclude local taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any applicable local taxes (VAT/GST) mandated by your country of residence.

  • Singapore GST: For customers residing in Singapore, Goods and Services Tax (GST) may be applicable in accordance with IRAS regulations.
